The Rich and Famous Film was founded in 1994 by the American Sharon von Wietersheim. In the same year, the company produced the short film The Necklace with Gedeon Burkhard and Horst-Günter Marx in the leading roles.
The film premiered at the Hof International Film Festival and was nominated for the Federal Film Prize.
In 1995 the workaholic film project was developed, which was produced the following year with Christiane Paul, Tobias Moretti and Ralf Bauer under the leadership of the Tele München Group. The film was a surprise success in German cinemas. Christiane Paul was awarded the Bavarian Film Prize for her acting performance.
In the years that followed, the company made a name for itself as a project developer and fabric supplier for a wide variety of national and international television broadcasters and production companies.
